poptimists in "listening to pop" shock

i'm only playing wit u. haven't felt inspired to blog anything in ages, hence not even bothering to do the weekly poptimists chart. Too busy reading interesting books about BRANEs (not attomickbranes) and doing things that involve trips to HOMEBASE and WICKES (i love being against the trend BECAUSE I AM INDIE). (Also, as of this morning I'm officially "concerned" about where ILX is going.) So this is a token to say I AM STILL HERE, INTERNETS. I am jaunty, hear me roar. like a little kitten.

How does that chart work? Does it merely add up the number of plays of certain songs by members of the poptimists community on last.fm? If so, then quite a great deal of that chart might be my fault, as I listened to those Girls Aloud songs, and the Pipettes song several times last week!

it's reach, so it doesn't matter if you or i listen to one song a grillion times if no one else listens to it.

it is "reach", i.e. number of ppl who played it at least once. (because it costs nothing to play a song repeatedly so not waited to number of plays at all)
