A slip of the fingers means this poll was briefly published CONTEXT-FREE but here we go, it's 1994, Wet Wet Wet spend 15 cruel weeks at the top of the charts and the first stirrings of Britpop turn up on Now, playing second fiddle to Stiltskin.

Fans of the Mad Stuntman will be gutted by his one-vote loss to Ace Of Base's "The Sign" - both acts return on this compilation. The general consensus on the Smashing Pumpkins is "not very good at all", with a small but vocal minority arguing for "good, actually".

And that's about all I can say - over to you!

The next Now is an ABSOLUTE CLASSIC, incidentally.

You think? Celine Dion, Monster-era REM, "Mmm mmm mmm", and "Zombie".
Sounds DUDley DUD to me and not 10x Whigfields could save it.
But that's for next week.

"Zombie" was the third CD single I ever bought. Except it was actually for my brother as a present. (The first: "Trouble" by Shampoo. The second: "All I Wanna Do" by Sheryl Crow).

I look forward to Whigfield so we can discuss what the acest Whiggers songs EVAH were, there was a bit of such discussion on [livejournal.com profile] cis's a while back, but it's of vital importance that it be reopened.

Also, Monster isn't that bad

The low points are very low, yes (though you have not named the lowest point of them all! And I quite liked 'Mmmm Mmmm...' at the time. But the HIGH POINTS! Too many to list!
