Some intriguing selections on the 25th Now album - still deep in 93 territory here - though I can only see one or two of these as real contenders. Something interesting here is how the reggae and ragga stuff has edged out the dance tracks largely into a fairly weedy selection in the middle of question 2. Elsewhere we have a blink-and-you-miss-it appearance by Kingmaker, a bumsex classic from Inner Circle, REM getting their pension in and East 17's frankly curious cover of West End Girls.
Only one of them can follow "No Limits" into the Pop And Poll Hall of Fame: it beat Sub Sub by two votes, with Take That and Shaggy behind. A remarkable and heart-warming rehabilitation - I wonder how many people hated Ver Limits back in the day (my conscience is clear on this one mind you). Ugly Kid Joe, Fab Macca and The Bluebells caught the biggest beatings, and while there was no real consensus on indie disco classics it's given me some bad ideas for Poptimism.
