That's appalling news, particularly since unless they can find someone as perfectly sarcastic and yet capable of unexpected enthusiasm to present it, it'll disappear down the back of the TV within weeks of getting new presenters. Damn.

Oh well. At least he's getting his own show.

Please explain for stupid foreigner (we don't get C4 over here).
Is it the TV equivalent of Smash Hits folding?

Is it anything like that early '90s show with Terry... something (Northern) with the wide mouth?
Or like that late '90s show with Paul the Man U fan and Donna something? (we do get the Beeb)

PEEL:

"I'm not, as people sometimes imagine, opposed to chart music. Busted, McFly ... I'm aware of some of the names. But that's mainly 'cos I watch that programme at the weekend, with the wry couple. I think they're quite entertaining. It's very knowing, but at the same time, it's a contrast to the kind of breathless stupidity of most of the competition."

"the wry couple"

i have even more respect from reading this:

"The hosts finally bonded over shared antipathy towards Fiona Phillips. "We spent a morning watching GMTV, shouting at the telly," says Amstell"

Haha, there's an interview on one of the women's mags with Phillips on the front going 'Where I've been for the last few months - my true story'..

..I didn't read it. Nevertheless, I saw her in No5 a couple of months back. Her and her husband are UGLY!

Dick and Dom are finishing too? Damn!

I'd forgotten about Popworld to be honest. No point in showing it on a Saturday!! Damn!! I saw Simon once, in HMV on Oxford Street, on my way to a FAP. I also saw, ahem, Jo Guest in the same place at a different time, also on my way to a FAP. She had very broad shoulders.
