Ladies and gentlemen a historic moment - a Now album without either Phil Collins OR UB40 on it. And also proof that in early 1991 - for it is then - dance music had 'won' to the extent that the Now disc would front-load it on CD1. Which left what for CD2? Erm...not an inspiring line up, frankly.

Betty Boo joins the victory list with a strong showing on Now 18, with Sinead O Connor second and then a pack of others trailing several votes behind. Phil C is joined by Sting and Timmy Mallet in the chorus of disapproval, with poptimist opinion latching onto Prince pastiche "Sussudio" as the great man's least unfine hour. But that was then - and this is NOW ALSO THEN!

[Poll #662940]

(Note by the way the historically accurate crediting of "Unfinished Sympathy")

EDIT:OH BOLL0CKS I FVCKED UP THE THIRD BIT OF THE POLL and did it as radio buttons. You can't go back and edit polls so I'll redo that question as a separate post. Sorry!
