The question at the PJ prize was whether Rolling In The Deep or Beat Of My Drum was better if you were 5- this is always a ridiculous aspect of the judging but did lead to Rolling In The Deep being knocked out because we all (for 'we all' I mean 'me,' other people may just hate Adele) thought it had an adult mournfulness and indeed, horniness to it that meant that kids probably wouldn't be so bothered whereas Beat Of My Drum has a huge L.O.V.E bit and a million flashing colours, synaesthetically.

Edit: obviously this doesn't help your decisions about indie. I do not feel well, please treat me with kindness.
