Hello poptimists and a very happy new year to you all! Heidi's put her santa hat in the attic for another year and is bracing herself for being dropped for one of Girls Can't Catch all that 2011 has to offer!

The only act in the list I hadn't heard of before the poll. According to Wikipedia, Intocable's "tough Tejano/Norteño fusion has become the blueprint for dozens of Tex-Mex groups." Excellent stuff:

The jury is still out on Katy, but you clearly like this song rather a lot:

Sulking Nordic pixie Robyn remains a poptimist favourite after a year off:

13) Gabriella Cilmi - On A Mission
Stand aside because, like Katy, Gabriella is on a mission. She also never misses a trick just like a magician (or like Joe Jackson):

12) DJ Fresh - Gold Dust
Well done dudes for voting for my favourite video of the year! The tune is super-banging DnB too:

11) Far East Movement ft Cataracs and Dev - Like A G6
