Cee-lo still at #1, Usher and BoB re-enter the top 40 with songs we've already polled this year.

I instantly read that as Barbra Streisand singing a song about duck sauce, and not the other way around.

Clap your hands if you're workin' too hard

Not rating the re-entry (which isn't the best version of "Mad World" anyway).

Duck Sauce "Barbra Streisand": Hurray! They sample Boney M, and anything that samples Boney M can't be bad (cf. Naughty By Nature)! 'Cept for this time, this track being so wrapped up in gimmicks I want to go listen to Boney M instead. NO TICK.

Joe McElderry "Ambitions": A pretty pop tune that could use more than Joe's pretty leading-man tenor, though strings and bass and overdubs do their part in the chorus. BORDERLINE NONTICK.

Pixie Lott "Broken Arrow": Her voice sounds broken too, blanks and pops and dropouts, could be used evocatively but this is totally the wrong arrangement and approach, a fist-clenching power ballad, makes no sense. NO TICK.

Michael Bublé "Hollywood": Going for the sound of '61, impersonating a teen idol trying to balance legitimate pop singing of Bennett-Como ilk with the relatively new-fangled rock 'n' roll thing; was weak tea then and this is dead even by those long-dead idol standards, and it's not helped by hectoring lyrics that sneer at celebrity while trying to benefit from it. Repulsive. NO TICK.

The Ting Tings "Hands": Da Ting Tings as catchy as ever but with a full sound rather than their offensive primitivism. I almost love this. TICK.
