Cee-lo may be at #1 but he needs to wash his mouth out with soap and water! Oh, it looks like the Official Charts Company has already done it for him. Elsewhere on this week's chart: Prof Green releases the 4729856th song this year with the word 'monster' the title and Tinie Tempah has six tracks in the top 100. Er why not just buy the album, dudes?

The video for "Shame" is incredible! Has Anthony Easton reviewed it as I'm sure he'd do the best job of it. They take their tops off, have a little cuddle, go for a swim and then sing in a country and western bar!

(It's better than that scene in Glee where Mr. Shoe and his high school rival sing karaoke in a dodgy bar full of beards - but so are many things. I guess).

It's been said in a sneery way that the song exists purely for the purposes of the video, but I don't think that's a bad thing at all. I dislike a good 90 per cent of Robbie's work, and am not particularly keen on the 'grown-up' Take That, but I like this plenty.

Wait, is everyone now required to do a song called "Monster"? In my limited experience, the results are pretty good.

Off the top of my head, here's my order of preference:

1. The Automatic
2. Kanye, Nicki, et al.
3. Steppenwolf
4. Meg & Dia
5. Lady Gaga
6. Professor Green

(No opinion: Disturbed, Arashi, Matchbook Romance, Funeral For A Friend, Skillet, etc.; I'm not counting "Monster Mash")

The adjective "Beautiful" disqualifies him, though I like the song. I did forget You Say Party! We Say Die!, whose track is interesting for the way the vocals and the instruments slide by each other, though it would probably place number seven in the list above. Would probably get a tick, however.

Cee-Lo Green "Monster You": Well, monster you too, Mr. Green. TICK.

Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow "Shame Fucker": Are these guys into guilty pleasures, or what? NO TICK.

Swedish House Mafia v. Tinie Tempah "Monster 2 Ibiza": Vocals are too dogged but the hook's a monster. BORDERLINE TICK.

Kings Of Leon "Radiofucker": Wires got crossed. NO TICK.

Magnetic Man ft. Katy B.: "Perfect Monster": Perfection does not become monstrosity. NO TICK.

Mike Posner "Cooler Than Fuck": But not cooler than shit. NO TICK.

Professor Green "Monster Fuck": Well, it wasn't as good as that, but it's a BORDERLINE TICK.

Plan B "The Reclusive Monster": Misunderstood like a Frankenstein. TICK.

"DON'T FUCK ANY": I forget who did this, but by the title one gathers that whoever it was didn't do anyone. NO TICK.
