Friday songs
Oct. 8th, 2010 04:08 pmRecently I have been compiling playlists appropriate for each weekday; Monday morning inertia, Tuesday ennui, Wednesday boredom, Thursday stress, Friday END OF SCHOOL.
Except of course Fridays are also a bit tired. It's all very well having in-yr-face bosh once you get out but first you've got to get there, probably from work and that means standing in someone's armpit on a train, no doubt. So the bosh must be a little more... well, not shy and retiring but more coaxing and friedly, before some dirty great bassline comes and punches your face in.
This is currently my favourite Friday song:
I don't like Adele, as a rule, however I can admit bias in the fact that I flippin' wuv High Contrast. He makes excellently friendly drum'n'bass and indeed, my Friday playlist would be in danger of becoming a series of his albums if it wasn't for the fact I limited myself to one song per artist.
What are your leaving-work-on-Friday songs, Poptimists?
