Lady Gaga & Beyoncé still at number one both in the CHARTS and YOUR HEARTS judging by last week's top ten ticky. Remember you can go back and vote for tracks in all previous 2010 chart polls - I'll do a round-up of the year so far at the end of March (get your own top ten lists ready!).

[Poll #1544579]

Today's Pop World Cup match between Portugal and DPR Korea is well worth popping over to Freaky Trigger for a listen! Vworpstep versus nosebleed techno - surely there can be no losers here!

Isn't "Dog Days Are Over" a re-entry or did it get missed out from a previous list?

It's in the combined Weeks 1&2 poll.

I didn't tick it then though - and I might now. Em is slowly growing on me. The song which opens the new David Byrne + Fatboy Slim (!) song cycle about Imelda Marcos (!!), which Em sings, is by some distance her finest vocal performance to date.

I don't normally tick re-entries, but since I didn't tick Ms. Machine last time we did this track and she's hauled herself up to my borderline, I'll give her one.

Usher ft. will.i.am "OMG": The electronic sprinkle at the start makes this too lightweight by 10; fortunately the "uh-oh-oh-oh" is pushy, and the fake crowd noise keeps this from falling into torpor. BORDERLINE TICK.

Timbaland ft. Justin Timberlake "Carry Out": Timbaland and Justin sound just as disengaged by this fast-food sex as I am, but Timbo gets beauty from timbres and beats, and there is a tune. BORDERLINE TICK.

Florence + The Machine "The Dog Days Are Over": She stumbles over herself terribly, yet forcefully, and with enough melody to give this the benefit of a BORDERLINE TICK.

David Guetta ft. Kid Cudi "Memories": Piano throb and bass throb, all fine; then the Kid comes in and instead of his dreaminess we get dreariness. BORDERLINE NONTICK.
