Tunisian or not Tunisian...
Jan. 16th, 2006 04:04 pmDigging through the Tunisian part of the interweb to find Top Tunies [DoUC?] for the Pop World Cup, the manager for said country was very sad to have to let Da Arab MC's go - on account of them being Israeli Arabs, not Tunisian. Even though they are on every Tunisian hip hop site around (and there's a few of those, I now know).
Anyhow, as israel is not in the World Cup, there's no harm in posting a YSI to their video for "Born Here". Militant pro-Palestinian rap, but none of that fashionable terrorism-condoning nonsense that gets you a 300+ thread on ILM. Rather, theirs is a positive message: we were born here, so we'll stay here, thank you very much. Now let us build houses please.

Even more superficial comment: I liked the arabic equiv. here of the "bouncing ball over the lyrics".
