It's not that bad, is it? Avril's song. The first time I heard it it sounded very odd and a little... desperate? But the more I listen to it the more I like the melody, and the way she just stays at such a high register and won't come down, treading water. It's not that she can't reach that register either, only her voice sounds a bit thin there. My 'oh dear' above was mostly due to her awful acting in the video - esp the bit where she's Had Enough of the tea party and stands up from the table with this angry look on her face. It reminds me of Sarah Michelle Gellar attempting to sing and act at the same time in the Buffy Musical episode.
