Well, not quite. DJ Tocadisco is a German dude who I've just come across during my Spanisher research. You may know him from his Big Hit Single Nobody Likes The Records That I Play. He's done a rubbish remix of Daniel Beddingfield's Gotta Get Thru This but his other stuff is quite good (his website gives samples only). Bomph!

I've been working hard on my Angolan research too - I've downloaded about 20 tracks so far. I can't say I have found a new Pele or Maradona just yet, and I won't be betting on us to win it, but I think we can at least avoid going home humiliated after a trio of 7-0 thrashings.

I don't know what Tony Conrad sounds like, nor would I know what any Saudi track sounds like before DLing it, of course. I will watch out for any (I have a World Music room in slsk on my auto-load list), but I don't even know any names. These countries where there is an air of sin attached to making music at all don't tend to make much that isn't dully devotional, but you never know. Rockist Scientist is your man on ILM for arabic music.

haha, hold on to that optimism! You'll need it when you come up against the might of my not bad faux-Brazilian easy listening top Angolan hits!

googling, asking on ILM threads, slsk - searching for names I found, searching for 'Angola', finding a World Music room and asking in there. I think I've probably his 30 by now.
