Best Song Of 2003: NOMINATIONS
Oct. 20th, 2009 12:17 pmReady to crash the wedding and shake it like a polaroid picture? It's 2003 nominations time!
# 10 song per person limit on stuff that didn't chart in the UK top 40 in 2002.
# Nominate as many charting hits as you like.
# Nominating fewer than 10 non-charting songs is perfectly fine.
# Do check everyhit.co.uk for chart placings: if your song might be spelled weirdly and doesn't show up in the results, try searching by artist instead of title (or vice versa) or using 'contains the word' instead of 'first few letters'.
# I strongly recommend posting nominations in a new comment thread rather than as a reply to another comment, as I am lazy and therefore unlikely to go digging around in nested comments etc.
# Don't worry about repeating someone else's nomination - as far as humanly possible I'll let you know if one of your ten picks is already nominated so you can choose another one.
# Nominate double-A sides separately please!
# Any queries regarding years/chart positions shall be subject to my WHIM.
# Need more help? Have a look at the examples on the 2002 nominations post.

Curious about this one, too; Wikipedia says it went to #96 in the UK, but I'm not finding it on everyhit, so I'm not sure whether it qualifies as a charted song or not:
A.R.E. Weapons – Hey World
Still need to check out the Darkness's Christmas song that charted, which I don't think I've ever heard...

My 10th (lovely lovely Mew) was preempted, so I shall have to have a long hard think about what to replace it with. Too many options! Charters I'm leaving till the first rash of nominations is done, because a lot of mine are already covered.

Date: 2009-10-20 01:17 pm (UTC)Everyhit lists this and "Beware of the Boys" as two different songs, by the way, which confuses me. (In the states, "Beware" was simply the subtitle of "Mundian," as I recall.) If "Beware" is the remix with Jay-Z on it, maybe they should both be on the list, separately?
