There does seem to be a bit of a girl group renaissance going on atm -- every time you turn around, there's a new one crawling out of the woodwork. (They're just not having much commercial success as yet, as far as I can tell...) Here's one lot I randomly came across some time back while surfing new official uploads at Onsmash; their debut single isn't anything revolutionary, but it is immensely pleasant and insidiously earwormy. I found myself with it stuck in my head out of nowhere this weekend, half a month after first hearing it, and have consequently been listening a load to it:

I kind of love the dance routine that goes with the chorus, too. Adorable.


Bonus embed: I literally just posted this in my own journal, but giving it a bit more spread can hardly hurt! Warped, mutant microhouse from Lithuanian newcomer Few Nolder, with an absolutely AMAZING vocal -- this has gone straight into my shortlist for tops of the year:

Not so sure about the girls up there - that exact sort of spangly jumpsuit is very Debbie McGee.

No worries -- I sometimes go two months myself before I remember to check things out! (Which alas leads to a lot of not commenting even when I abs love something. Poss I need to get over my awkwardness re: leaving late-ass comments...)

I will admit the sparkly jumpsuits are sort of silly. I know I snorted quietly with amusement the first time I saw the video, anyway!
