Alicia put up a good fight but eventually the smaller-eyed singer won out - Bedingfield is THRU THIS. Britney, Jay-Z, Blu Cantrell and the White Stripes join him, with Nelly Furtado scraping through in 5th.

'Nasty Girl' is notable for being a song condemning females walking around without any clothes on, released around the time that DC were posing in fur bikinis all over the place. Was it ever a single? It's sort of bizarre, it's very busy and jarring and that weird atonal "oh-oh-oh-oh" breakdown is mental.

It was released as a single internationally, but according to Wikipedia, not in the UK or US. I'm surprised, I'm sure I remember it getting a lot of radio airplay and heavy rotation on MTV.

I find I quite like it musically. I guess the sentiments are a bit compromised, as you say. And Beyonce's hair in the video, OMG, she's like Eraserhead or something.
