Basically that I was listening to a load of low fi punk/post-punk at the time and was v glad that someone was making more music just like it.

Okay, I'm too young to really remember punk the first time around, but didn't it used to possess, I dunno, exuberance? The guitar pummels along pacily enough but that vocal sounds phoned in. Literally phoned in, with all the distortion.
