Eh, I only listen to the obscurer things where they pretty much turn up and play their own records with the odd nod towards whatever it is they're meant to be doing on the show. I dunno, maybe I just don't have many/the right channels for getting told to listen to new music? I s'pose a lot of it's not having the internets at the minute.

Am currently listening to an MJ tribute show on 1Xtra on the iPlayer and realising how horrifically bad my knowledge of his music is/was; think I only knew about five songs. Am literally only just realising how staggeringly important he was. Err. Why does anyone let me write about music? :/

I think it's quite useful to listen to stuff I didn't know in advance I was going to be interested in, and to have the whole lot force fed until I get a lot of it second nature, BUT, I know longer have time because, e.g., you lot are always introducing me to new stuff anyway.
