So, if you've only just been looking up stuff because it's shown up in this week's singles, you'll probably find that La Roux's In For The Kill sounds like this:

This is the official release. And it's bouncy and frankly, not very good. But!

But, but, but.

This is the Skream remix:

which is, obviously, a million miles better. Needless to say, the Youtube version doesn't quite have the bass of the actual release. But you get the drift. Apart from being about four minutes too short, and clearly needing a full 12" mix, it's so much better it really isn't funny. Even the radio stations play the Skream version from time to time.

So: just to clarify, you know.

I agree that the remix suits her voice better but it's STILL too shrill and grating - never mind an extended version, I want a dub version. And she's just so unbearable that everything she touches turns to shit.

It's really been played on daytime radio? I'm surprised - it's the superior version of a TERRIBLE song but it's not as if Skream's own tracks have much of a history of radio play.

God, even looking at that stupid posey self-conscious blank expression on her face in the Youtube stills pisses me off. What a loser she is.

On Radio 1, apparently yes. Annie Mac was talking about this on Switch last night. They played a cut down version of the remix. It was OK, I put it no stronger than that.
