I don't think you need an invite - I managed to just go to the website and sign up last night. It's bloody brilliant, well worth joining.

Spotify's selection is a lot worse than I thought it was when I first tried it out - definitely much less than itunes, 7digital etc.

Seriously though, I think on current urban and dance music you're right - Spotify's selection isn't great: I suspect because so many new tracks in those areas exist in a murky area vis-a-vis actual releases. I was pleasantly surprised though that ALL (save one) of the 50s No.1s were up there!

Does anyone have any idea how a track gets to be on Spotify or doesn't?
