Eh. Sounds an awful lot like Kelly Clarkson singing a Dr. Luke hook. Not nearly as disastrous as I was expecting, but also can't really bring myself to care about it. It's such a meaningless exercise in sounding edgy three years ago. Any thoughts?

(Meanwhile at Offnotesnotes I'm still complaining about the stupid narratives that the cultcha commentaters have spun about "My December" from most viewpoints, since "third album departure" really does a disservice to what she's been doing since Breakaway, which is the one that everyone claims is so accessible. I refuse to believe that these people have listened to the second half of that album! (Even "Behind These Hazel Eyes" or "Because of You"...it's just not the lightest stuff out there.)

Too much. I think I understand why people are always complaining about Pink now.

(Yes. I have been saying this for months. There was literally no difference between My December and Breakaway except for the fact that Kara DioGuardi and Chantal Kreviazazuzazuk were involved in one and not the other.)

Third listen I decided that this is a nice little tune that the arrangement is ruining. I don't know what it is with Luke. The only great stuff he's done since "4ever" has been with Paris Hilton and Vanessa Hudgens. He needs singers with weak voices. Everyone else he slathers in blare. It's irritating. This is Any Good At All, but I just want to tell the chorus to shut up shut up shut up.

I'd generally agree but "Who Knew" was post-4ever and is one of the best things he's done, in my opinion

Speaking of Black Holes, has the Lindsay Lohan album (projected title: A Coupla Lesbians Sitting Around Talking About Blowjobs) fallen into the same black hole that Cassie's and Keri's and Ciara's has?

Agreed on the stupid narrative around My December; I still can't believe everyone apparently failed to hear the huge hooks on that album. Not sure what I think of this, glad there are none of the feared Perryisms but I've heard the verses on about 50 songs already and the chorus is somehow both too much and too little. But it might grow on me.

Listening back to 'Never Again' and 'Hole'...these songs are so much tighter and more focused than 'My Life Would Suck...'
