Sign of the music biz times (if true): Alphabeat have apparently been dropped by their UK label because their FIFTH single off their album flopped. Remember them this way! (NB the Bimbo Jones remix picked up a fraction of the points here).

Non-embeddable warriors! Kanye might feel hard done by here to be honest since SEVEN different people voted for this. If we were doing it solely on mentions he'd be at #5.

No, please do! I wouldn't have heard most of the Cassie & Ciara stuff this year without your posts, same goes for Sway & Stush, and I seem to remember you were first to post "No Air" & "Shawty Get Loose" - so I think you're underestimating your influence on this place

I think you should get your own new blog (blogspot or wordpress) anyway. LJ doesn't have the cred (plus it may yet die) and the more Graun work you do the more other critics and associates will want to discus.

This isn't a bad idea. The best interface I've found for video posting (and for pretty much anything) is Tumblr, though it's considerably indier in outlook than the Lex is generally prepared to tolerate. (I'll be lucky if I get a single "liked" note for a dance music MP3)
