Have we talked about the new Sugababes single?

Their new material doesn't have the sense of event it one did, though I've learned not to trust my initial impressions with this lot: "About You Now" has crept up to become one of my four or five favourite tracks by them. Can't see that happening with this... or so I say now.

OK I've decided I really like this! Love the reggae feel and the way the video looks like a sweaty bashment rave. They sound like they're having a lot of fun on it, it's v light and breezy and relaxed. Heidi and Amelle's verses are really terrific, Heidi sounds particularly pleased to be freed from the tyranny of the middle eight. Minor caveat: as with a number of the songs on Change, their choruses are getting really lazy, ~one line~ does not a chorus make - but the verses are so strong that I don't really mind.

I think what keeps me interested in the Sugababes is the way they position themselves closer to the UK 'urban' scene than most other British pop acts (who didn't come from there in the first place) - there are all these occasional nods to reggae, garage and so on, you get the impression that they really listen to that music in their spare time.
