Blimey, August already! It's been a bit quiet round here of late - what have you all been listening to?

[Poll #1233427]

(remember, 'new' is open to interpretation - if it's new to you, that counts!)

Oh I'll only say this Tackey & Tsubasa song which sounds like a bouncy castle (ON HUNDREDS AND THOUSANDS) so let's talk about something else. Let's talk about songs that you really liked, but then you do them at karaoke and suddenly OH MY GOD do they go on forever or WHAT.

1. Frank Ferguson - well dyer, dyer dyer wanna, repeat NINE BILLION TIMES.
2. Alphabeat - the word is on your lips! SAY THE WORD. the word is on your lips! say... the.. zzz
3. Um, The Cheeky Song?

No-one has ever done that at karaoke though, have they? oh hold on. (I've never had to sit through anyone doing it at least).

There must be something better than that. I don't even want another 'RiRi' album.

Jenni Rivera-"Inolvidable," which has been out for weeks and I'm pretty sure translates to "Unforgettable" since she says "Unforgettable, baby" at the end. Pretty banda tune with crazy instrumental stuff and lurching tuba.

(Frank invited me, hi.)

Forever-Chris Brown.

It sounded a bit weird at first, the idea of Chris Brown doing a techno song kind of turned me off. But after a few more listens, i'm hooked. It's become one of my favorite songs ever, i'm not even kidding.

Btw, is this a new trend? R&B singers doing techno/house/electronic songs? Usher and Ne-Yo have done the same thing.
