Downloads might be killing off the album, but the Mercury dudes are carrying on regardless. This year's nominations are below, but do you poptimist folks actually listen to this sort of thing?

The Neon Neon album is a really mixed bag, I'm quite surprised it got nominated. I Lust U is the best track I think, Belfast is quite good as well, but there are some very dodgy ones too.

Agreed. And I should say that while I say I've heard the CD, it was more of a skim through on an HMV listening post. Conclusion: not enough potential here to merit further exploration.
