OK this is one of the odder download-related chart entries of the year. I'm sure we all remember Kat DeLuna from her amazing dancehall banger 'Whine Up' last year - it was a reasonably-sized hit in the US, I believe, but wasn't even released here. Her album apparently WAS given a soft release here a couple of months back, ie just slipped out with no fanfare (as 'urban' albums often are) - so little fanfare that I didn't even know she had an album at all. I did know about this, her second single, though, and have been meaning to post it for a while - it's called 'Run The Show', it has the catchiest chorus in history ("I say NO-O-O! If you wanna take it SLOW-OW-OW!") and some INCREDIBLE drums - but thought I had loads of time because, like 'Whine Up', no UK release had been planned for it.

Except - apparently the video's been picking up play on the music channels, and it's beaten me to the punch by charting at No 41 this week out of nowhere. As far as I can tell there's still no official release being planned...I'm thrilled that it seems to be doing this by itself.

I don't know, actually -- wasn't paying attention to our charts last year (really need to do some chart archive digging purely for my own edification!) -- but I suspect not, and furthermore that it never even made it here. Investigation will tell, though!
