In the pub on Friday night we had a - really quite long - discussion about this album, which I paid good money for at age 14 (on audiocassette). I think it is probably the worst record I've ever bought, though I admit I haven't listened to it in almost 20 years.

Date: 2008-04-30 12:46 pm (UTC)With Roger W I had probably under ten albums in all at the time so I really really was determined to find SOMETHING to enjoy in it and played it a great deal. But in fact it was complete shite AND it had a cover which even at 14 I knew I shouldn't be proud of owning.
I put a LOT of effort into Wing's "London Town" at around the same time and was mistaken then too but it's a much MUCH better record than Hitchhiking.
