Thanks to koganbot, I have the first Top 200-class (i.e. excellent) song that I've discovered thanks to Poptimists.

If you like Yael Naim...You'll love Marit Larsen:

Her whole album is excellent and much beloved on this community (well, by some). "Don't Save Me", "Under The Surface" and "Only A Fool" are all superb. I wonder if she's working on new stuff?

I realized some time back that I have written the songs I need to head back into the studio, and I will, very shortly. I'm looking forward to the process - knowing full well it's the most challenging part of what I do. I have to tell you I'm proud of the way these songs are coming out. I've been through quite a lot since the last record, and I feel that I've managed to write about most of it in pretty (exciting) sane retrospect. At the same time, I'm starting to realize that growing as a writer is all about learning to ask the right questions. Most of the time, waiting around for answers is a waste of time.

Anyway, it's late. I'll catch up soon.

Marit.
