Scooter - The Question Is What...
- actually released at the end of last Summer but did nothing here and think it's been re-released - haven't felt this good about a Scooter single since 'Move Your Ass' 14 years ago but love the chorus of this one + "Please refrain from not smoking...". Just trying not to be too freaked by Sheffield Dave's disturbing ability to not age.

Santogold - LES Artistes
- liking this a lot, not least the Karen O meets Tegan & Sara vocals of Santi White altho the XXXChange remix that was posted on pinglewood.com is way better and maybe my favourite track of the year so far

Wideboys ft. Shaznay Lewis - Daddy-O
- slower and closer to the mighty 'RIP Groove' than most bassline/based stuff doing the rounds right now, a fitting update on that sound and and automatic TUNE despite the relative naffness of the 'chorus' - nice to see Shaznay still in the game

Love 'Daddy O' - is that Shaznay in the video?? I don't remember her looking like that! She looks...very young.

Not really feeling 'LES Artistes' - the arrangement plods a bit, no? I kind of hate that video, too. Dunno what I feel about Santogold generally, the only thing by her I've really dug is the Switch & Sinden remix of 'You'll Find A Way'. Still keeping an open mind til I hear more stuff but am veering towards "no".

I agree with Steve that the XXXchange remix from pinglewood is pretty great - but I think it's great in a way you won't necessarily like (it's like MIA writing a U2 song!)

In fact there is loads of good stuff on pinglewood.com, which I'd never encountered before. My good new singles list has been thoroughly refreshed.

'The Question Is...' sounded SO GOOD at Clubland Live - they had two dancer dudes doing the skipping dance as well. BOSH BOSH BOSH.

Like the Shaznay too - the intro really is very Double 99 isn't it?
