I guess we should have a thread about Britain's Eurovision entry then:

Because it was Poptimism I missed the thrilling Woganology on Saturday night. The most I can say for this is that it's better than Scooch.

I switched on Radio 2 this morning and caught the second half of this. Must say I was surprised when Wogan said it was the UK eurovision entry. The brief excerpt I heard brought to mind Billy Ocean.

Wogan also mentioned that on Saturday's TV show (which I also missed) they'd featured a few of the already-chosen entries from other countries, inc. presumably the Irish entry and some of the other wackier ones. I can only assume this was to scare the GBP into voting for something as 'normal' and un-Scooch-like as possible.

OK, having watched that youtube clip, Andy's clearly got more of an Errol Brown vibe about him. I agree with Kat that this works well live.

He needs to get some sexier backing band members though if he's gonna stand any chance of winning. Ditch that guy with the beard for a start! Or stick a Lordi mask on him or something. Jiminy crickets.
