cos i really dislike it. sorry. carry on with the poptimist loving :-(

I saw Juno last week (which this may well be from) and the soundtrack was sooooo irritating. Come here Kimya Dawson... SMACK.

It's just kid's music I think. Or rather, music performed by corny fuxxors who think this is what kids want to hear.

It's kind of awful.

ADMIN NOTE: Can ppl put the artist and title of video club posts in the comments at least?

I don't think the target audience is kids at all! It is all the 'fault' of the Moldy Peaches, who are definitely a band not suitable for all ages.

I dunno how you can tell from the song and video - which is all I have to go on! - that the target audience isn't kids!

Well, it's either Kimya Dawson (ex of Ver Peaches) or someone trying very hard to sound like her, and I've seen her do stuff much like this in concert, and the kids going mad for it were, er, not exactly kids. I could be wrong, but she's definitely got previous as regards selling stuff that sounds like this (some of it in the same whimsical jangle stuff but about grimmer subjects) to grownups.

Right, right - I just think that based purely on sound and content and visuals identifying this as "kids' music" when asked its genre isn't unfair. (I don't think its successful AS kids music which is why I assumed it was someone slumming it in the genre.)

Oh no, I didn't mean CLEARLY it's not kids music YOU FULE, sorry about that.

I like this kind of music! I thought the music in Juno was great! Oh no! I would put this on a mixtape after Dragonforce.
