Details below the cut for those who want to know:
TRACK 5: Chungking - "Jeans On": blank-voiced cover of the David Dundas 70s hit, posing the question "soft rock or electroclash: just which is the REAL guilty pleasure?" I initially found this annoying in its mannerisms but on future listens the beat revealed itself as 'a goer'. Chunking = chunky (enough).
TRACK 6: A Mountain Of One - "Innocent Line": Again, time has made me fonder of this one too: I like the spacerockin' background wibbles but as a singer he's a bit of a heifer really. Strongly suggests, as does most of AMOO's work, that Balearic is an excuse for people who don't like rock to like rock.
I am completely not sure which way I voted, if indeed I did vote. Actually I think technically I knew "Innocent Line" so probably that ruled it out.
You have another day to vote in this - poll (and voting details) here: http://community.livejournal.com/poptimists/499319.html (NB the number of votes is absolutely PITIFUL, not surprising since it went up a week before Xmas and was never mentioned again, but do try and vote!)
