Another cog in the murder machine
Jan. 30th, 2008 03:05 pmAs some of you will know I work for a market research company. Here's an email I sent round to the staff yesterday:
"So an easy pair of questions to divert you for half a minute:
Name a currently active band or recording artist a British teenager might know about.
Name a currently active sportsperson a British teenager might know about.
Simple as that! Name more than one if you like."
I have snipped the 'why' since you, The Kids, are not to be trusted with the secrets of The Man.
But I have now compiled the answers I got. What do you think people said (and what SHOULD they have said?)
ANSWERS! (Gaps to be filled in by commenters)
1. Winehouse
2. Arctics
3. Lily A
4. My Chemical Romance
5. Rihanna

7. Gurls Aloud

9. The Hoosiers
10. Leona L.
SPORTS ANSWERS!

3. Wayne R.
4. Cristiano Ronaldo
5. Wilco
6. Love Rat Ashley Cole
7. Brave Paula
8. Andy Murray

Date: 2008-01-30 03:26 pm (UTC)Tony Hawk wasn't mentioned by anyone from my work but actually has one of the highest recognition/approval scores among US teens. He's a skateboarder who has given his name to several enormo-selling videogames. US sports are a different world obviously but I wou;dn't be surprised if he had teen appeal here too.

Date: 2008-01-30 08:57 pm (UTC)Musically, dunno. I would guess some people threw in stuff like Led Zeppellin, despite its not being "modern" but then again it could also be The Libertines.
