Oh no, I just weaned all my friends off of "You are good, she is awesome" and "= FUCKING EVERYBODY" jokes.

That said, this video was kind of the last step in me not hating Celine. Suggest tracks, pls!

Oh yeah both of these are hella old, I assumed everyone had seen them but at Poptimism on saturday it turned out that this wasn't the case.

I'm pretty firmly in the camp of loving Celine as a personality and general awesome figure to have around, but not really loving her music (though not hating it by any means). The Celine songs I do like a lot are 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now' (mental OTT 8-minute Meat Loaf-esque Steinman-penned powerballad), 'Misled' (mental excursion into disco) and 'Falling Into You' (rather lovely, gentle, swooning thing with actual subtlety; at the time I was impressed that it was vaguely trip-hop, I guess this is proto-Dido? Um in a good way?)

I only saw it a couple days ago, but it's been nonstop "all the parents...plus all the children..." since then.

Best Meatloaf song never later released by Meatloaf, right? I'm particularly into "Reveal" at the moment, which is nice and throbby. I think "Falling Into You" was on that Celine album I liked as a kid -- I seem to be able to hum a single line of it, will have to check it out.

I played "Think Twice" at Poptimism because I wanted to find out once and for all how much I liked it, and thought playing it good and loud on some speakers was the best way. The answer turns out to be "really quite a lot" though the bits in it I like are the obvious ones.

Is there a BOSH version of "Think Twice"? I really like the melody of the chorus, but I really hate the way Celine sings it - the second verse in particular really gives me the shits. Thus, I think a dodgy BOSH version would be good.

"Falling Into You" is indeed a lovely ballad too, and "That's The Way It Is" is wonderful. "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" is the definitive reading of that particular song, too. Apart from these four I find her pretty much unbearable.

Yes - in fact I spent about half an hour yesterday on YouTube listening to boshes and remixes. Search "Rochelle Think Twice" but you'll need to turn the volume up. Unfortunately I don't think there's a particularly GOOD bosh out there as boshing it up seems to remove a lot of the drama - but I like Celine's tortuous singing on it so YMMV.
