I'm making Pigeon Detectives a kind of scapegoat for all the shit British indie I've heard this year. I didn't nominate anyone because I didn't think Reverend & The Makers deserved any more attention.

I reckon if we'd had a whole year of them they'd be up there. Somebody in this office has bought a radio and is insisting on playing Capital all day every day - I've heard that horrible Elvis Ain't Dead song about 50 times in the last week, I'm sure of it. Not that I'd be able to tell it apart from the last single.
