Hello chaps, just filling in for one more week because I am a jobless bum and freakytigger is not. Bit odd this week insofar as am including The Freaks, who seem to have previously slipped through the polling net and also I'm not convinced we haven't polled Peter, Bjorn and John before although maybe that was with a different single, since I checked back and couldn't see it.

Is this the first instance of 'signature song of recently deceased popstar makes chart purely on downloads'? Wouldn't have had money on this one.

Have there been any other widely-reported popstar deaths since the new chart rules though? It will be interesting what happens when someone with a much bigger back catalogue (of well-known stuff) snuffs it.
