BLONDIE TRUFAX:

- Debbie Harry used to be in a band called 'Wind In The Willows'
- And she was in an episode of Sabrina The Teenage Witch! The big goth.
- In 1981, 89% of teenage bedroom walls displayed at least one Blondie poster.

Blondie have 23 UK Top 40 hits (including Debbie's solo stuff), you have just SEVEN ticks. Ooo bee doo!

HERE IS AN U&K BLONDIE Q:

PM maintains that Union City Blue is the best EVER Blondie song. I think he is on a MOUNTAIN of CRACK. Why do people love UCB so much (I think it's a bit dirgey myself) and HOW HOW HOW could you think it's better than Atomic or Sunday Girl or Dreaming? OR CALL ME! Crikey!

See it's good but the competition is just too stiff! I also wanted to tick I Want That Man and French Kissin In The USA and about 3 others :(

It is the indie choice, duh.

Srsly. Ride and Lush used to perform it live as an encore when they toured the States together in [whatever year that was].

Oh no! Really? Maybe that is why I like it so much.

Oh god, it's my favourite too. I never knew how indie i'd become.

Actually, I think I love it for all it's uh-oh, oh-oh bits. I'm a sucker for wordless singalong parts in songs.

Ha well, there's no denying that PM is a GREBT BIG INDIE. But I was thinking about this as I was cooking lunch and now suspect that his love of UCB has something to do with his love of GREBT BIG POWER BALLADS - big chords, slow tempo, slightly histrionic lyrics... it's all there.

Both Radiohead and Suede have also covered it.

I think it's great, but then I am at least 50% Indie.
