The bloody single's out, like, now, which means the Girls Aloud 'Sexy No No No' video must have been doing the rounds for ages, and I only just stumbled on it by chance today!

Best thing = FINALLY someone in British pop has realised that EXPENSIVE = good. That is maybe the least cheap video I have ever seen from a British pop act. Seriously, well done. It is also rather Missy/Björk circa a decade ago but let's not hold that against them.

Whoa! Being an American and all, I had no idea there was a new Girls Aloud single. Thanks Alex!

What this video really is is Xtina's 'Fighter', except not as 'goth'. I thought that the first time I saw it, and I was pleased for Popjustice to validate (http://www.popjustice.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1473&Itemid=9) that assessment.

point taken. but it's still a far cry to say THIS looks expensive tho. it's like a tradition or something now. GA = cheap video.

i certainly don't disagree with you. but i guess what i mean to say is that, for girls aloud, it does look expensive. although, to be fair, the 'Biology' video included multiple sets/costumes. i guess that's a sign of spending more than 50 quid...

Maybe it's just because of the red/black contrast, but this really strikes me as being reminiscent of parts of 'Sin City'. Really good video. Cheers for linking to it!

As discussed by me, [livejournal.com profile] katstevens and [livejournal.com profile] andthatisthat on Saturday, the drill bit is rly rly disturbing and unnecessary and ruins the whole thing slightly.

However, I like their make up a lot. Like, loads. It's brilliant. It's actually the fact it's very stylised that makes it look expensive, I think, since the 'here is a flower,' 'here is some bastard drilling through your christmas present' bits are hardly no-expense-spared and it's still totally studio etc.

Love the eyelashes. Not sure I like that they all seem to be going blonde to various degrees tho'.
