I encourage everybody who liked my track to check out the entire album it comes from, called Legacy, an entire track of soft acoustic country versions of old hymns, with arrangements by Vince Gill. Lots of good stuff there.

I zeroed in on Amy Grant pretty quickly once I realized my previously submitted track had no chance. I listened to a lot of contemporary Christian music, by proxy, in high school, and Amy Grant is the only artist from then that's really stuck with me. I think her voice is gorgeous, and she's done several great songs. I take stick from my friends all the time for being an Amy Grant fan. I considered submitting "El Shaddai" or "Breath of Heaven", Amy's best songs, but I thought they would be too well known. Considered submitting "Thy Word", but figured it might be too cheesy. Lastly, I was very, very close to submitting "Ageless Melody", but thought the country tinge of the track I actually submitted might give it a slight edge. Again, I can definitely recommend all 4 tracks.
