Lionrock - Call A Cab

http://www.zshare.net/download/2662181c2f8592/

From my recently 'rip all my cd singles' project. Welcome to my late 90s. I saw Lionrock live once at Reading and they were terrific fun. This song doesn't sound as energetic as i recall it from the time -- that's a universal issue with revisiting old favourites though innit -- but I still like it's loping around and mix of laid-back 'verse' between the big-beaty 'now you may dance' bits.

I tell you waht's bugging me now. There was a song around this time "Little England" who was it by...

Little Britain by Dreadzone? I have that on single.

Lionrock were ace. Was listening to An Instinct For Detection the other day and remembering. I liked all the wishy washy sounds - lots of strange noises under and in the music.

Such was their ubiquity I assumed yr question was some kind of satiricalism! But then I remembered you weren't a student in 1995, grandad.

Yes Dreadzone.

Was thinking about them lately, because I was wondering just like the reggae version of Page & Plant Dread Zeppelin, was there ever a rasta Hucknell band called Simply Dread.

If not, should someone start one?

but 'Fire Up The Shoesaw' is better.
