Hating dancehall is WAY more understandable than hating Macarthur Park. One annoys some people, the other is BLOODY GENIUS.

I only heard the Richard Harris version in full quite recently. I really cannot decide which is better, his take or the 20 minute Donna version.

I think the Donna version is much, much, much worse than the Harris one. There just doesn't seem to be any discernable match of form to content... Sonically, I don't dislike it all - the stomping disco break is totally incredible - but all the subtlety and poetry is gone for the sake of dancing, and it's just not a fair trade-off here.

Did anyone ever feel uncomfortable watching 'Love To Love You Baby' in the same room as yer mum and dad? If the aforementioned occasion had ever happened to me as a teenager I'm sure I would have gone all red.

This was the hardest canon I've ever done, as I wanted to tick much much much. But I did it in 30 seconds so as not to torment myself all day. I had to untick "MacArthur Park." I had to untick "Bad Girls." I had to untick "Dim All The Lights." I had to untick "This Time I Know It's For Real." ...

I did however tick "Could It Be Magic," which'll Chopin you.
