If any band exemplify the post-1990s tendency for glorified frat-boy values to be taken seriously as counter-culture, surely it is they. And for "funk" to mean "an ugly, stoned, tattooed white man playing slap bass".

Limp Bizkit were kind of like the absolute optimised best possible version of the Chili Peppers concept, i.e. still pretty bad but had a kind of force RHCP totally lacked (plus also "We got humans using humans for bombs")
