Manics: i also laughed when the Nicky bit came in, but in an "HURRAH, what are you doing? excellent!" kind of way.

Speaking As A Manics Fan, it's the best thing they've done for ages, but the words are still sh!t, i'm not sure why they don't, y'know, just open a couple of richey's notebooks, just for a quick look...

I thought they'd already done that and that TIMTTMY was the one where they cracked open a few Richie notebooks, but that this was in no way a change in their policy of not exploiting tragedy blah blah blah.

It's easy to forget because that was not a very good album (altho' a powerful masterpiece compared to what followed)

I would put their new single in the same league as The Fratellis.

I second this but the problem would be that it would all be horribly out of date and working under the assumption that anyone still gave a fuck (in a general sense, not just about the Manics) :(

Good point. I really rather wish they would just stop before this is what the Manics are remembered for, although I like this song.
