i love Sophie as much as the next gay, but this video is yet another one that proves she cannot dance to save her life (cf. 'murder on the dancefloor', 'get over you', et al.). the 'catch you' concept was perfect for her, as it meant she was running and didn't have to try to look graceful. she could just roll around on a bed and do that brilliant thing where she mimed shooting an arrow.

this one, though: the musical theatre pastiche makes her movements seem all the more awkward. add the nu rave fluorescents, and i just find it a bit painful to watch.

Yep - the video ain't great. I am surprised by how much I like the song though - usually her whining annoys me but this time her vocals sound all relaxed and loose, like she's really enjoying it and not even trying.

Video v bad, the neon in the chorus looks tacky and cheap. The song isn't rub but I ticked that cos it's definitely not ace, it's kind of unmemorably average and not even as good as 'Catch You'. Legs are great though.

Is SEB some sort of gay icon now then? I might have to revoke my membership :(

The video is kind of rubbish, although I quite like the neon bits. Maybe they should have just done that and not the other stuff.

Ace song. Good video too, I think. Not as mighty as the criminally underrated "Mixed Up World", let alone "Murder On The Dancefloor" or "Move This Mountain". It's basically "Get Over You" with more disco strings, and that makes it all kinds of wonderful. Better than "Catch You", easily.

Her next single, "Today The Sun's On Us" is 57 different kinds of rubbish, though. Really, it's terrible. Her Xenomania collaboration, "If You Go" is excellent, though, and would be a quite good "summer single", if people did such things.

Grr, the non-UK editions have fewer tracks than the UK ones. BAD FASCINATION RECORDS, this is bad.

This is a smidgen better than Get Over You, though -- which is saying a lot because that was one of my favorite RML tracks. And I'm still in a honeymoon phase with Catch You so I can't really compare these two just yet, although I think this one has less energy. It's a bit Sophie's Love Today with Catch You being her Grace Kelly.

He is. But while Grace Kelly is a bit more refined and genuine, Love Today tries to follow up the same formula with less sincerity and more fun disco noises. Considering I really enjoy all 4 songs in questions, this is no bad thing, per se -- just an observation.

I think the song is a bit 'meh', and her legs, while impressive for their length (but the video seems stylised to exaggerate this, no?) are too thin. I prefer a bit more muscle and sinew on my lovely ladies.

Can't hear the song at work. Legs are okay although yes she's a bit thin overall. Surprised that no one has commented on the big hair, which really doesn't work for her, IMO (and adds emphasis to how thin she is).
