Titles and players for Week 6 in the Chart Championship now updated. Four players on 12 points - Koganbot, Skillextric, Lisa_Go_Blind and Lockedintheatti. L_G_B is the only one with a game in hand though (and hasn't lost since week one).

Halfway through! League placings to go up tomorrow probably.

Next week it's katstevens in the Pop Prem and skillextric in the Chart Champ - big week for his title rivals. Intros from both of them before monday please!

We're now getting to the stage where some players - epicharmus and dubdobdee especially - are about to miss weeks cos of various commitments. So if you know you're going to skip a week, it might be worth sending a track along on spec that I can use if you can't get me something when it's deadline time.

when will I be getting my tracks? Is there any chance it'll be this afternoon? (I'm going away for the weekend and it'd be nice to have new music to enjoy!). If not no problem, I'm back on Monday evening and around the rest of the week to listen and review.

Will you be able to do the other bit of sandpapering of my track that I suggested in the covering e-mail, or is that asking too much? I wouldn't know how to go about doing it myself but I believe there is computer magick that can do the trick if you know how to summon it.

Is it worth "taking steps" so that the people who will be away can do more than just lob random tracks into play? i.e., have the rest of the home players send in their bios now, either for a) early publication (spoils the fun a bit, but easiest) or b) to be forwarded to those players who know they'll be away.

Or maybe people really are just picking things they like, with less concern about the home player.

It's possible BUT some players - lockedintheatti and bengraham spring to mind - have already had to submit stuff 'blind' so it wouldn't really be fair on them.

It's up to the players really - if people want to get their biogs in now then by all means go for it and I can forward them.

I vote yes to this idea, cus I quite like the idea of just each poptimist sending some kind of pinnacle (in their opinion) bit of their music taste and it seeing what's ended up with, when you're not playing to someone else's tastes.

Although I s'pose people would be trying to play to the overall poptimist sentiment but then if we are all poptimists it should all pan out etc. etc.
