Eurovision loser Justin Hawkins says Saturday's contest was a "stitch-up" and has branded the British public "either racist or stupid" for choosing Scooch.

Of course, we say the GPB is r4c1st in every reality TV poll result ever (except Leona), but not having heard any of the songs I have no idea whether he has a point.

The Hawkins song was very poor.

Scooch will finish about 14th. Eurovision is great, I don't care if the UK wins or even enters tbh, i'd still watch.

British voting public in being stupid shocker. Justin would do well to remember that this is a programme about EUROVISION and as such the only people who are actually going to vote are kids (who will like daft but colourful Scooch) and Eurovision fans (who are so appalled at the rub choices on offer they picked the most memorable song out of the lot - it's sh1t, but I could hum it to you right now after just one listen...)

Big Brovaz were far and away the best act on the night, but it's Eurovision voting, so that doesn't count for much, does it?
As far as Hawkins goes, well, he brought down the average, so he's only got himself to blame. Brown looked and sounded amazing, and all you could do was wonder why she was wasting her time attached to a loser like him.

The British public are both racist and stupid irrespective of any of this, therefore it's always a reliably accurate thing to say in any given situation.

Given the BBC, Terry Wogan and public opinion still assumes Eurovision is all about novelty acts and gimmicks, is it any surprise whatsoever they put through the act that conforms most closely to the stereotype, regardless of what they thought of the individual songs?
