I seems to be designed to expose as many ribs per second as possible. Eww. Though the song is great, and the last verse in particular. Is there a name for that particular sound with the big bass, the voice and only high sounds, the only other thing I know of is Drop It Like It's Hot (and of course that mashup of DILIH and Missy that you put up on Thizzface a few weeks ago)?

Cor, that last minute is amazing! I'm quite jealous. I love the sampled crowd-doing-hand-claps. I would love it if they'd cleared the sample off some old Motown standard or something, ditched the obvious hook and gone for a millisecond of background drumming! Now that's decadent :-)

I do like these minimal rnb songs that turn out to be anything but minimal by the time you're halfway through! There's so much going on but it all seems so (perhaps deceptively) simple. Good work the Lex!

The last minute or so is a different song! The main video is 'Hey Hey Hey', the last bit is 'So Sick', which I like better but doesn't have a video of its own yet. It's pretty audacious, there is barely any backing and the verses are her singing one single high-pitched note, I can imagine lots of people finding this really irritating. Fabulously obnoxious too, "you're looking so sick cos I'm looking so fit" and "stop tryna check me cos your man's on my phone/you can tell my momma, she don't care cos I'm grown".

oh, cool: i noticed that i heard one line you quoted above as 'you're looking so sick cos i'm looking so slick', which kind of backs up the mishearing-due-to-shoddy-sound-quality thing.

Re: flexibility I can do that without trying too hard but I am double jointed and don't look anything like that good doing it.

I really like Natasha's music (or the two songs I've heard so far anyway) but I agree with cis regarding her lisp. It's very distracting and makes her very difficult to understand a lot of the time. :( Still, ace.
