I unticked the two Bananaramas in the end, since they got enuff luv last week.

Loads of these featured on the original Trivial Pursuit (TM) Pop Music Edition, which was where I learned of (and to like) things like Divine and Pat & Mike.

I am really underwhelmed by this list. Where are all the famous Sonia/Jason Donovan songs? I have never heard of hardly any of these! Who are half these people?!

What famous Sonia songs?

Er.

The one which went, I think, "be young! be foolish! be happy!" maybe? not that I remember any of it beyond that.

twas a cover, thus i'd guess they missed it off the comp to make all the money.

that sonia cannon in full:

1 Sonia You'll Never Stop Me From Loving You Jun 1989
17 Sonia Can't Forget You Oct 1989
10 Sonia Listen To Your Heart Dec 1989
16 Sonia Counting Every Minute Apr 1990
18 Sonia End Of The World Aug 1990
10 Sonia Only Fools (Never Fall In Love) Jun 1991
22 Sonia Be Young Be Foolish Be Happy Aug 1991
13 Sonia You To Me Are Everything Nov 1991
30 Sonia Boogie Nights Sep 1992
15 Sonia Better The Devil You Know May 1993

last 4 covers, arguably chart positions match fall in quality, YNSMFLY clearly the best...

"Who's Leaving Who" is triff but "Wherever I Go (Whatever I Do)" is a Hi-NRG MONSTER!! More love!

I am very disappointed to see Divine's mighty 'You Think You're A Man', easily my favourite of SAW's output, doing so poorly.

Me too.

Also, I can't believe I'm the only person to tick DOA's even mightier 'Lover Come Back'. Kick it right down, Kick it right down, Kick it Right! Down! RIGHT!! DOWN!!

1. Rick Astley used to remind me of this scary guy in our village called Hugh and for that reason I have never felt very comfortable around him (in a musical sense obviously).
2. I think Better the Devil you know is my no 1 favourite Kylie song of all time and I don't care what anyone else says so there :)
3. Mel & Kim Respectable was the first single I ever bought! so very old...

haha, i know what is missing: YELL! (also damien's timewarp)

you'd think that some loony on the internet would've listed all of their hits (probably P Waterman himself hoho) somewhere. oh they have (http://www.stockaitkenwaterman.com/discogs/saw-sing.htm)

wow, what a pile-up 91 is after 89 and 90! only Kylie and Jason going top ten the whole year as opposed to nearly EVERYTHING they released (except donna summer) in 89

'Cry For Help' wasn't too bad at the end of the day when all's said and done.

Why are people not ticking "Turn It Into Love", one of Kylie's most astonishingly underrated moments? Ah, only a single in Japan. Did Marcello once say it had a lyric like Morrissey once or did I hallucinate that in a beautiful dream? Anyway, it is GREBT and the best early early Kylie song.

I was very young when it came out, but is it ALSO my imagination that people thought "Never Gonna Give You Up" was rub but now accept it as a total classic - which it is? I liked "Cry For Help" too - didn't it have a serious video with him in a spotlight or something?

Anyway, SAW Gold is great but the results so far bear out that that first disc is hella front loaded.
