Now Lex has finally joined the Poptimists last.fm group, let's see what impact he's had on the charts.

No! The artist is Natasha ft Clipse! The song is not called 'So Sick (ft Clipse)'!

I changed the Winehouse cos I'm anal like that but I doubt I'm anal enough to carry on doing it for all the mislabelled mp3s I have (most of them it would appear).

Sorry, Lex, you're a late-comer to last.fm. The "rules" have already been set long ago - although I understand your pain. If you compare the artists "Natasha" and "Natasha ft. Clipse" hopefully you'll see my point.

As far as being anal, please note again the tagging programs that I suggested on your lj. They're not perfect, but you can use them to process those poorly-tagged MP3s fairly painlessly.

Anyway, don't want to clog up poptimists with this. We can discuss further via last.fm, email, your lj, if need be.

Yeah but on some CDs it's automatically right, eg on The Blueprint 'Renegade' is automatically credited to Eminem ft Jay-Z. And what if it's a straight duet eg Luther Vandross & Janet Jackson?

I'll look at the programmes but I really don't understand the installing process. I tend to download them but then have NO IDEA either where they've gone, or how to make them work. eg soulseex! even when Gareth showed me how I can't get it to do anything of worth.

Quite right. This heretical placing of the "ft" bit in the song title must be STAMPED OUT.
